Chiesa Valmalenco is the main winter and summer tourist resort of Valmalenco, located at the point where it forks in two valley furrows, one towards the upper part of the valley, at the base of Monte Disgrazia (3678 m) and the other in the Val Lanterna, towards the Pizzo Bernina (4050 m).
Valmalenco is an ideal starting point for ascents and crossings in the Bernina, Disgrazia and Scalino groups and an essential stop along the route that connects Valtellina to Val Bregaglia in Switzerland, through the Muretto pass. In the marvelous panoramas among pastures, mountain pastures, lakes, woods, quarries and passes you can admire majestic glaciers. The Alpe Palù area offers 60 km of slopes suitable for skiers of all levels, reachable from Chiesa with one of the largest cable cars in the world, the Snow Eagle.
